In The Waiting: Good Friday Experience

This year, our Good Friday service will be a guided, immersive experience centered on the theme “In the Waiting.” The focus is on the space between Jesus’ death and resurrection, and how that mirrors where we live now: between suffering and victory, sorrow and joy, pain and the fulfillment of God’s promises.

Date: Friday, April 3rd

Time: 5PM – 7PM (doors open at 4:30PM, please arrive no later than 6:15PM)

Location: 5916 W Lake St

Please note: There will be no childcare or children’s programming for this experience, but children are welcome to attend and participate with their families.

Easter Sunrise service

You are invited to join Garden City Church, our South Side church plant led by Pastor Samuel Copeland, for their second annual Easter Sunrise Service.

Gather with the Garden City core team and fellow members of Chicago West, along with family and friends, at 31st St. Beach as we worship, pray, and reflect on the good news that Jesus has conquered sin and death—celebrating the resurrection as the sun rises over Lake Michigan. This will also be a meaningful time of vision and prayer as Garden City looks toward its anticipated launch this September, God-willing.

Ten years later, we’re still seeing resurrection life in our community and city.

Ten years ago, in Spring 2016, Chicago West began with a conviction that God builds His church. A decade later, we’re grateful for His steady faithfulness.

On Sunday, April 26 at 11:00AM, we’ll gather for a focused anniversary celebration and welcome several VIP guests who were instrumental in the early days of the church.
